The Krammer Locks, located at the intersection of North Brabant, Zeeland, and South Holland near Bruinisse, are a crucial hub in the international shipping corridor between Rotterdam, Antwerp, and Ghent. With approximately 60,000 ships passing through annually, the locks play an essential role in ensuring smooth maritime traffic flow.
For the large-scale renovation of the Krammer Locks, CI-Engineers is collaborating with the ZEEKR consortium, comprising BESIX, BESIX Unitec, Croonwolter&dros, Demako, Iemants, and Bosch Rexroth. This renovation project, awarded for €417 million, involves the renewal of the push-tow and yacht locks.
CI-Engineers is responsible for developing the designs during the preliminary design phase (VO-phase), applying our expertise to ensure seamless traffic flow and reliable operation of the locks.
