Project Blankenburgverbinding - CI-Engineers

Blankenburg Connection

PROJECT description

The accessibility of the Rotterdam region is of major economic importance. However, increasing congestion on the road network is putting this accessibility under growing pressure.

To safeguard accessibility, quality of life and economic activity in the region for the future, the Blankenburg Connection has been developed. Commissioned by Rijkswaterstaat, the A20 and A15 motorways are being connected by a new motorway: the A24.

The connection includes a tunnel beneath the Scheur waterway, linking the two banks. In addition, a land tunnel known as the Holland Tunnel is being constructed.

Role of CI-Engineers

For this project, CI-Engineers is responsible for producing interface drawings for the TTI (Tunnel Technical Installations), as well as civil engineering formwork drawings to ensure that all installations are positioned correctly.

CI-Engineers also designs various additional components required for the construction and execution of the project.
